Moving image from Evan Bode's short film "Anxiety Art" featuring a live-action hand holding an animated black scribble and slapping it onto a piece of paper.

Anxiety Art (2019)

1 min. 40 sec.

A young artist in a dark dorm room takes anxieties out of their brain and into their hands.

Shot on iPhone, this zero-budget, one-person, two-minute project offers a wordless statement about creative expression as a means of processing inner struggles.

When brought outward and into the light—onto the page, or into a film—mental chaos becomes more manageable.
